About Us
Born of fishing
For many years, Andrew Fogarty pondered over the benefits of a flicking shrimp for catching fish. He drew on his expertise as an aquacultural biologist, fisherman and lure designer to develop the prawnstar shrimp concept. The Primal Fishing team was born with the inception of Michael Fogarty and Paul Signitzer to commercialize the venture... And Primal Fishing arrived. Born of fishing, the use of scientific analysis and tested for total fishing effectiveness, Prawnstar Shrimp deliver where others can't. Countless hours on the water and thousands of fish captures convinced us how good the prawnstar shrimp really is. Holistic bioanalysis of what "fishing" is and of the functions a bait needs to perform to be a great fish catcher, lead to the development of all the features that are the prawnstar shrimp. A great lure doesn't catch fish on its own. We also developed the flickjigging techniques, variable weights and design features to simulate natural prey behaviour. At Primal Fishing we fish by "Being the bait"- casting and presenting the shrimp in a way that makes hungry fish strike time and time again. Just Right
